Description
Print, 8" x 10". River boat San Joaquin hauled freight between San Francisco and Sacramento. It was a self contained cargo boat that was self propelled. The top center is the pilot house and crew quarters. The ladder on each side of the pilot house are elevators to load freight. The box with the latter in front is where freight was loaded.
