Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Photograph caption dated August 22, 1962 reads, "Awright awready!! - First base umpire Larry Napp gestures widely as he tries to explain his reasons for calling a balk on New York Yankee pitcher Bill Stafford (No. 22) during the fifth inning of last night's game with the Los Angeles Angels. Irate Yankees, from left, are Bobby Richardson, Stafford and Bill Skowron. In a rare turn of events, Napp changed his decision a moment later after conferring with another umpire and then had to face another argument with some equally irate Angels. Yanks broke open a 4-4 tie in the 10th inning with a 7-run barrage to win 11-4." See image 00159182 for additional photo in this series.
