Photograph of a tanker alongside the Standard Oil Company docks in San Pedro, ca.1920. A wide wooden dock can be seen in the foreground, and a massive tanker ship can be seen alongside at left. The hull of the ship is dark, while the superstructure is light-colored. A lifeboat can be seen near the bridge at center, while cranes and a smokestack can be seen near the stern at right. Several large hoses connect from pipes on the dock to others on the deck of the ship.
