Architectural rendering of the proposed Pacific Southwest Exposition 60 acre grounds on the waterfront in Long Beach, launched to commemorate the landing of the Spanish padres and the founding of California and to draw industrial activity to the L.A. area. The Exposition buildings, designed by architect Hugh R. Davies, were modeled on North Africa's walled cities. The drawing is signed: Clarke. Photograph dated: 1928
