Description
Closeup view of the Pony Express monument in Old Sacramento that show the fine detail of the statue. Located at Second and J Streets and facing the Hastings Building, this fifteen foot tall bronze sculpture was done by Thomas Holland about 1960. The statue is based on photos he took of his own polo ponies with his 22 year old nephew Tobin Holland posed as the rider.
