Description
A final report compiled by the U.S. Department of Interior War Relocation Authority. The contributors include the staff in the WRA Community Analysis Section and WRA, and incarcerees. The report was deigned to outline of major development of the Japanese American communities incarcerated in the camps and describe psychological and social effects of the crisis which Japanese Americans had undergone.
The Donald Teruo Hata and Nadine Ishitani Hata Asian Pacific Studies Collection consists of research materials collected by Professor Donald Teruo Hata of the Department of History at CSU Dominguez Hills. Contained are newspapers published in the temporary assembly centers, incarceration camps, and an internment camp during World War II; community publications published during the pre-war years, including newsletters published in 1936-1941 by Japanese Methodist Church, Los Angeles California; photographs of Japanese American farmers; an annual report by American National Red Cross; a final report by War Relocation Authority; and other WRA documents, such as, instructions, bylaws, and assessment form distributed in the incarceration camps during World War II.
