In this audio recording Peter F. Drucker interviews Charles Sykes in his audio book, “The Nonprofit Drucker.” This tape is part of the series, “People and Relationships.” Drucker begins by introducing Sykes as the head of the CARE mission, the world’s largest philanthropic agency. Sykes talks about the most important thing about working with government: the need for patience and cultural respect. He discusses when to collaborate with other branches of government to meet goals. He says that non-profits must be careful when working with other cultural groups. Sykes describes that a leader must get to know an organization before collaborating with it. He ends the interview by talking about how to increase board members’ interactivity with an organization.
