Image of an eye-level view of the American Civil War battle of Chickamauga fought in Catoosa County and Walker County, Georgia, in September 1863 under Union Major General William Rosecrans and Confederate General Braxton Bragg; soldiers on the front lines shoot at each other, men also visible manning artillery or riding on horseback; wounded and dead soldiers litter the ground.
