Spedalskhedsarbejdet/DBLM, Bangladesh. Ruth & Jens Kristian Egedal udenfor deres bolig i Nilphamari, hvor de har været udsendt af Dansk Santalmission som ledere ved Spedalskhedshospitalet, 1980-87. En periode, hvor det bl.a. med bistand fra Danida blev muligt at udbygge DBLMs arbejde for de spedalske. Sygeplejerske og jordemoder Ruth Frost har desuden været udsendt til klinikarbejde i Øst Pakistan/Bangladesh, 1969-73 - midt i en politisk ustabil periode med borgerkrig og oprettelse af det nye, selvstændige land, Bangladesh. Her mødte hun sin senere ægtefælle, diakon og sygeplejerske Jens Kristian Egedal, som var udsendt af DSM/FKN i 1972, til genopbygning efter krigen i 1971

Description
DBLM, Bangladesh. Ruth & Jens Kristian Egedal in front of their home at Nilphamari. They were sent by Danish Santal Mission as leaders of the Leprosy Hospital, 1980-87. With assistance from the Danish Government, Danida, a period with expansion and development for the benefit of more leprosy people. Also earlier, Nurse and Midwife Ruth Frost was sent to clinic work in East Pakistan/ Bangladesh, 1969-73 - during the political unstable period with Civil War and founding of the new, independent country, Bangladesh. Here she met with her later husband. Deacon and Nurse Jens Kristian Egedal was sent by DSM/FKN to assist with reconstruction work after the War in 1971.
