Description
Valbergs tower in the background. All the way to the right: The Stavanger Cathedral. "Paulus" was launched on April 1, 1885 in Stavanger, Norway. The ship was inaugurated during the Annual meeting in Kristiania on June 5, 1885. It had 600 ton deadweight and draft of 11 3/4 feet. It cost kr.125 000. "Paulus" sailed as a mission ship until 1893. It was sold in 1897. Prior to this NMS used the Mission ship "Elieser" from 1865-1884.
