Photograph of the view from Bass Trail near Point Sublime on the north rim of the Grand Canyon, 1900-1930. Steep rocky mountains with nearly vertical faces and sharp peaks rise out of the canyon. The channel carved out by the river is visible far below. The canyon spreads out into the distance to form a flat horizon.
