Photograph was edited for publication purposes The 'Southern Bay,' a miniature Mississippi River steamboat, takes part in the annual Character Boat Parade held in Balboa Bay, Newport Beach. The boat featured a side-wheeler, captain's bridge, miniature gambling salons, and a hoop-skirted Dixie belle on the promenade deck. Photograph dated August 28, 1963.
