Description
Portrait inside the headquarters of the Presidential candidate of the National Liberation Movement (MLN), Mario Sandoval Alarcón in Guatemala City. A poster of him on the right hangs above a desk. A woman on the left sits on a desk writing. A portrait of former Guatemalan President Carlos Carlos Castillo Armas (1954–1957) in military uniform hangs above her. A large white symbol in the middle of a dark blue field sits between the images. Carlos Castillo Armas founded the MLN in 1954 after a CIA-supported coup d'etat against democratically elected President Jacobo Árbenz.
