Description
Exterior view of one of the large estates located in the Hollywood neighborhood of Outpost Estates, centered around Outpost Drive just east of Runyon Canyon Park. The development is one of the first 1920s Hollywood luxury residential neighborhoods, which has not changed much since the time it was developed. The name "Outpost" was coined by General Harrison Gray Otis, who had owned an adobe in the area. The photograph appears to have been taken from a neighboring estate, as suggested by the window panes clearly captured in the print.
