Description
Three Contras, a young woman and two men, work while camping at El Porvenir Farm, located two kilometers from the Honduras-Nicaragua border in June 1983. While the woman stirs the cooked rice, the man to the right kneels as he tends to an unobservable activity while he holds his Soviet-made Kalashnikov assault rifle. The man in the middle is cutting wood with a machete. In the background there are additional Contras working. They are members of the Nicaraguan Democratic Force (FDN in Spanish), known informally as "Contras."
