The entire 1931 French Zig-Zag Moderne style complex, which includes ground floor businesses, the Wiltern Theatre, and the Pellissier Building, was designed by Stiles O. Clements and is a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument. Photograph caption dated May 5, 1985 reads, "This view of the lobby of the Wiltern shows the detailed work that went into transforming it from a gutted building into a work of art.
