Photograph caption dated May 9, 1957 reads, "John Christiansen, 10922 Dempsey St., Granada Hills, who will fly Lockheed's first Electra next January, studies location of instruments in mockup of Electra cockpit and confers with unidentified engineer. Many airline pilots have taken look at cockpit and are helping with ideas to give cockpit maximum degree of utility, visibility and comfort."
