Description: Crowd of 250 jobless milling about the WPA building at Twelfth and Santee streets when a committee representing the Public Works and Unemployed Union made wage demands on WPA officials. Crowd was watched by police "red squad," but dispersed without disorder, Sep. 28, 1935.
