Pictured are Governor Goodwin Knight and bride-to-be, Virginia Carlson. The couple met when Mrs. Carlson sold the Governor a poppy on an American Legion television show. The two will wed at the Episcopal Church of Our Savior in Beverly Hills on August 2. Governor Knight's late wife died in 1952 and Mrs. Carlson's husband was killed in action in World War II.
