Description
This is a photograph of Carl J. Frese in front of his house on Walnut St. and Pasadena Ave. Mr. Frese is shown sitting in the buggy of a horse-drawn carriage, while his wife (identified as Emma Frese) can be seen standing on the front porch of the house, in front of the front door. According to a note on the back of the photograph, the name of the horse pictured here was "Rover." There is a valise at Mrs. Frese's feet and the horse-carriage is standing ready at the front of the house, as if they are just departing on a journey. Date is an estimate based off of their attire. Reverse: Written in ink: "Home of Carl J. Frese / Walnut St. and Pasadena Ave.", "Carl & Emma Frese & / 'Rover'", and "Grace W. Hodge / 1266 N. Raymond".
