The Los Angeles Ebell club's palatial new clubhouse is pictured, ready for formal opening ceremonies Monday afternoon at the first meeting of the club year. This view of the clubhouse was taken from Wilshire Boulevard, looking down Lucerne to Eighth Street. The auditorium-theater faces on Eighth Street, while the clubhouse proper has entrances on both Lucerne and Wilshire, the latter being the main entrance. The club paid $200,000 for the site and the buildings cost approximately $650,000. Photo dated: October 1, 1927.
