Description
Two horse-dawn carriages carrying tourist groups are parked in front of the Hotel Green in Pasadena, California. They carry parties of men and women who are going sightseeing as part of the first semi-annual meeting of the Southern California Hotel Association on November 22, 1894. On the left, chairs are set up on the sidewalk next to arched entryway.
Title transcribed from back of photo-mount. Date devised by cataloger based on a description of the event depicted, see "Progressive Hotel Men" in Land of Sunshine (December 1894 issue, pp. 14-15). Printed along bottom right of photo-mount: "Hill, Pasadena, Cal." See also photPF photPF 23724, photPF 23725, and photPF 23727.
