They carry parties of men and women who are going sightseeing as part of the first semi-annual meeting of the Southern California Hotel Association on November 22, 1894. On the left, chairs are set up on the sidewalk next to arched entryway. Title transcribed from back of photo-mount. Date devised by cataloger based on a description of the event depicted, see "Progressive Hotel Men" in Land of Sunshine (December 1894 issue, pp. 14-15).
