Description: Dramatic nightshot shows 70-ton crane gently placing 26-ton girder for Seventh Street span at East Los Angeles interchange where four freeway s will meet. This girder and six more like it are the longest ever fabricated by U.S. Steel's plant. The big steel pieces measure 146 feet long by 6 feet deep, and were erected by the U.S. Steel American Bridge Division. Information and picture proveided by U.S. Steel.
