Photograph article dated January 12, 1961 partially reads, "The Valley woman who wears a miniature hourglass charm has contributed countless hours of her life to civic, philanthropic and cultural work in her community. There are four such women in the Valley today, and on Jan. 25 another will join this quartet selected by the Hilltoppers of the Assistance League for special recognition. The women named in the fifth annual Hourglass Award presentation will be selected from a group of 15 nominees representing various Valley organizations and all facets of community life."
