Photograph article dated April 12, 1962 partially reads, "Carolyn Pevna of Van Nuys has more friends that King Solomon had wives. Out of every walk of life from northern Siberia to southern Japan, friends send letters and gifts in appreciation of the interest she has expressed in them. Love of people, coupled with an eagerness for knowledge and understanding, has enabled 20-year-old Miss Pevna to become an ambassador of good will to thousands of Japanese hungering for American love and cultural exchange of ideas." Photograph caption reads, "American girl becomes Good Will Ambassador. Carolyn Pevna answers letters she received from Japanese friends."; See image #00131415 for additional photo in this series.
