Description
Two Contra soldiers stand for a photograph next to a makeshift tent constructed of scrap sheet metal at El Porvenir Farm, located two kilometers from the Honduras-Nicaragua border. The Contra soldier in the foreground is holding his olive-green cap on his left hand and a bowl of food on his right hand. The soldier in the background is wearing his olive-green cap and holding his weapon over his shoulder. Both are looking at the camera. They are both part of the Nicaraguan Democratic Force (FDN in Spanish), whose members are informally known as "Contras."
