Description
Note translation: NB we should probably make a distinction between the church in Christiansborg - the old Danish suburb of Accra with a Basel Mission presence going back to 1828 - and what became known later as the Praetorius Memorial Church, near the old BMHG building on the High Street, next to the later GPO and GNTC. This church was pulled down ?ca. 1965 and replaced by the present-day Church of the Resurrection near the Supreme Court, behind the Presyterian Bood Depot and Church Headquarters, close to the two Makola markets. To distinguish this Accra church and the Christiansborg church look at the spires - the Christiansborg one is much higher (PJ 08/00). The church in Christiansborg was definitely built by Karl Epting.
