Description
A panoramic view of a commencement ceremony at the Rose Bowl. The field of the stadium has been decorated with small trees, fences, and Japanese torii gates. The stadium, which is shaped like a horseshoe, is filled with spectators. There are freestanding white bleachers on the right.
According to The Rose Bowl by Michelle L. Turner the stadium was constructed in a horseshoe shape in 1922 (p. 15) and the horseshoe was enclosed in 1928 (p. 16).
