Description
Folsom Boulevard at 52nd Street is pictured on Oct. 1, 1929. Looking east, away from Sacramento proper, a single pedestrian crosses the street and an automobile travels west toward the photographer. Also notable is a man climbing the stairs of a home to the left, while to the right is a small boy sitting inside a fruit case in front a grocery store owned by Frank Beale, a native of Northern Ireland. The grocery on the left of the photograph was owned by Italian immigrant Rinaldo Gabrielli.
