Description
Photograph of a Pima Indian with an ancient wooden plow in Arizona, ca.1884. The man is standing at right and is holding the plow on the ground at center. He is wearing dark pants, a dark vest, a light shirt, and a dark, broad-brimmed hat. The plow is a simple wooden tool made from several pieces of twisted wood attached together. The land around the Indian is covered in small desert bushes, and there is a low mountain in the distance at left. Clouds are visible in the sky.
