Description
A three-quarters length studio portrait of Lincoln assassin John Wilkes Booth turned very slightly to the left. Booth has a full, dark mustache, and is wearing a large coat over his suit. He is holding the front of his overcoat in his gloved left hand.
Ms. note on verso reads "J. Wilkes Booth ; Shot April 26, 1865." Attributed to C. D Fredericks & Co. (active 1850s-1860s).
