Description
Methodist Episcopal church at Englishtown seen from the front. Trees and bushes on the right obcure part of the white fence that runs around the church building. The Englishtown Methodist Episcopal Church (also known as the Wesleyan Methodist church) was built after two previous churches were destroyed by storms and fire. This building was erected for $3400, which was financed by contributions from the community and the mining company (Lanyon & Bulmore, 75).
