Description
This photograph of the Sacramento City Manager’s office at City Hall at 915 I Street was taken in 1950. The window looks westerly to several buildings, including – left to right – the Hotel Californian at 800 I Street, the Labor Temple at 902 Eighth Street, and the United States Post Office at 815 I Street. Inhabiting the office from 1946 to 1964, and when this photograph was taken was the highly-popular Bartley Cavanaugh, Sr. Also prominent in the room are a desk, leather chairs and a tiger-skin rug.
