Description
Note: Gehört wahrscheinlich zu der Serie: "Reisebilder von Miss. Bufe u. G. Spellenberg 1910 Nov. nach Keyaga - Banyang in N.W. Kamerun." (Ch. M. Geary, E-30-0,7 und E-30-0,8). - Banyang liegt in der South West Province, nicht im Nordwesten. (GT 08.1998).
Note translation: "Probably belongs to the series of images from a journey made in November 1910 by the missionaries Bufe & G. Spellenberg to Keyaga and Banyang in N.W. Cameroon." (C. M. Geary, E-30-0,7 and E-30-0,8). - Banyang is part of the South West Province, not of the North West. (GT 08.1998). - "Elephant mask. NB the hat and the 'trunk' actually belong together and should be worn by the same person. Note how the man on the right has a fly-whisk handing from his wrist. I would avoid using the term 'losango' here. 'Losango' is a concept used in the relation to the forest area, not the grassfields." (PV 02.2002).
