Approximately seven months after both buildings were relocated in March, 1969, they were completely destroyed by fires, believed to have been set by arsonists.; The "Castle," a large Queen Anne revival style residence built around 1882, was originally located at 325 S. Bunker Hill Avenue.; Built in the 1880s and originally located at 339 S. Bunker Hill Avenue, the "Salt Box" was Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument #5. Looking out from a second story window of the "Salt Box" towards the "Castle," taken after both structures were relocated to Montecito Heights, Los Angeles.
