Photograph caption dated June 15, 1950 reads, "Actor John Garfield, tabbed 'Happy Pappy of 1950' by the teenage Council, arrives here today with his family on American Mercury flight from New York. He flew all the way to make film, 'He ran all the way.' With him are wife, Robbie; David, 7, and Julie, 4." With an airplane in the background, the children are giving their father a kiss on the cheek while his wife looks on.
