Description
The photo caption published in the Sacramento Bee on March 11, 1964 states: "Lack of Rain - Because of drought conditions, ranchers in Glenn and Colusa Counties have had to turn on these pumps about a month earlier this year to get canal water out of the Sacramento River. The system is the Glenn-Colusa Canal. The pumps are above Hamilton City, Glenn County."
