Photograph caption dated June 7, 1962 reads "Ron Ellensohn, right, field deputy for Mayor Samuel W. Yorty, presents pupils and faculty officials at Granada Hills High School with a plaque from their sister institution, Nagoya Gakuin School in Nagoya, Japan. Receiving the memento are, from left, Fred Funk, 17, senior class president; teacher Joseph Gatto, and Bryce Schurr, Granada Hills principal. Nagoya is also the sister city of Los Angeles. Yorty delivered a copy of the school's year book to the sister school during his recent trip to Japan."
