Description
Photograph of the exterior of the First Congregational Church in Long Beach, ca.1905. The church resembles a fort, with tall square towers on the corners. It has a stone base that extends up about four feet, above which point the walls are covered in plaster. The main entrance is located in the front corner tower, through a set of archways. All of the windows on the first floor have arched tops, while those on the second floor are all rectangular. There are people standing in front of the entrance, conversing. There are trees and a utility pole on the right side of the picture, and there are street car tracks in the unpaved road.
