Description
A group poses in the car at the bottom of the Incline below Echo Mountain. Probably taken at the opening of this section of the rail line. T.S.C. Lowe was the founder of the Mount Lowe project and the Mount Lowe Railway. In 1892, Oak Mountain, a 6,100 foot peak behind Echo Mountain, was renamed Mount Lowe in his honor.
