Description: "Zwei Alte beim Korbflechten. (Musangano.)" ("Two old men weaving baskets. (Musangano.)"). Two African men sitting on stools are weaving baskets out of reeds. In the background: huts and mountains.
Ernst Hermann Schnabel (1904-1953) was a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine and served in East Africa until the end of the 1930s. In 1934, he married Käthe Prellwitz in Kyimbila.
