Photograph of a view of the east side of Catalina Harbor, ca.1886-1887. Several men attend a flatboat on a jutting bank in the distance to the right while a two-masted ship makes its way out of the strait made by two rock faces. Seagulls gather in the shallow water touching shore. The beach, covered by washed-up kelp, fills much of the foreground.
