Photograph caption dated November 13, 1958 reads, Merle Duckett, president of Bethlehem Star Parade Association, sits at wheel of new type float bed which will be used by many Valley churches to build mobile religious scenes for annual Christmas parade to be held in Van Nuys Dec. 6. William J. Overly, parade co-ordinator, center, and the Rev. Oliver J. Werner, president of Van Nuys Ministerial Association holds plans for new float design."
