Many years later, the hotel, located at 11461 Sunset Boulevard, was renamed the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel. Photograph caption dated June 19, 1958 reads, "Warne Ehring, newly elected president of Brentwood Village Lions Club, makes a welcome call on Bette Wagner at the Bel Air Sands Hotel." Bette Warner is the wife of Marvin Wagner, whose Wagner Construction Company built the Bel Air Sands Hotel.
