Description
This book is a collection of photographs, reproductions of paintings, newspaper articles and a manuscript document. The photographs and reproductions include images of German churches and other buildings, Egyptian pyramids and a monumental Southeast Asian statue of the Buddha, as well as photographic reproductions of paintings and sketches of Hawaii. A newspaper article on Rabison, Germany is pasted inside. The book also contains a document written in German by Edward Vischer entitled Patrons of the Tomb of St. Sebald in Sebaldskirche, Nurenburg, by Peter Vischer, 1500-1519. The document provides biographic information on Peter Vischer along with a discussion of the artist's sculpture for St. Sebald Church.
