Photograph caption dated September 12, 1961 reads, "Twins (from left) Eugene Jr. and George Till, 4, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Till, 7661 Shoup Ave., Canoga Park, bid their mother goodbye as they leave for their first day of kindergarten at Capistrano Avenue School. Their 2-year-old brother Joseph watches them leave. They join approximately 205,000 students who returned to or started Valley schools this morning."
