Description
"No. 10. I was fortunate in being at the right place at the right time. In this picture. A donkey engine was moving from one location to another. These little engines were mounted on skids and traveled on their own power by means of a steel cable run through a pulled fastened to a tree, then brought back and would onto the spool in front of the man at the right. The swap-horese was there. On the other side of the tree was a nice flowing spring of water with a pool. The little water muls with his helper were probably filling up with water. Those who have ever been there will recognize this as the Boole Tree. It measures 38 ft in dia; 109 ft in cir. This is as good an illustration of its size as it would be possibl to secure, I think.
