Photograph caption dated December 21, 1944 reads, "Joan Barry, shown in these courtroom studies at the trial of the paternity suit in which she charged that Charlie Chaplin is the father of her child, today collapsed momentarily on the witness stand when she was questioned by the defense about a note she wrote to Hans Reusch."
