Photograph of two men unloading piles of green boughs from burros in the street of the Hopi Indian village of Mishongnovi for the kisi or kiva for the Snake Dance, ca.1900-1901. Two boys look on and 4 burros and numerous chickens are present. Ladders lean agains the adobe dwellings of the village. A small stone structure near the pile of boughs may be a well or cistern.
