Description
El Dorado School started as a single-classroom school and began expanding in 1918 before the school district purchased a plot for a new location on J Street (pictured) in 1920. W.C. Duncan and Company began construction on the new reinforced concrete building in 1921 and the building opened for use in the summer of 1922, though construction on additions continued.
